Hi, I'm Lauren the Library Lady!
My name is Lauren Moscowitch-Lang. I have been an educator for twelve years. After majoring in English at Binghamton University, I moved to Japan to teach English in public schools in Japan. When I returned home, I earned my Master's Degree in Childhood Education from Hunter College. I taught kindergarten and first grade in charter schools in East Harlem for the next seven years. I eventually made the jump to New York City's Department of Education where I taught kindergarten, third grade, and first grade. My passion for books, information, and teaching knowledge based skills couldn't be ignored any longer. I decided to make the jump to librarianship in 2022 after learning about the NYC DOE Teacher 2 Librarian scholarship program. I am currently enrolled at St. John Fisher College and expect my M.S. in Library Media in May 2023.
